ICGNC 2022 was Successfully Held!

       On August 5-7, 2022, ICGNC 2022 was successfully held at Harbin, China. ICGNC 2022 was sponsored by Technical Committee on Guidance, Navigation and Control (TCGNC), Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA), and Science and Technology on Aircraft Control Laboratory. It was technically co-sponsored by Technical Committee on Navigation, Guidance and Control (TCNGC), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), Technical Committee on Unmanned Aerial Systems Autonomous Control (TCUASAC), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), Technical Committee on Control Theory (TCCT), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) and Technical Committee on Robotics Intelligence (TCRI), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA). ICGNC 2022 was organized by Harbin Engineering University. During the conference, experts and scholars discussed and exchanged academic and technical issues related to guidance, navigation and control. Famous scholars in the field of guidance, navigation and control made special invited reports. The conference consists of pre-conference tutorials, plenary talks, chief designer forum, panel discussions, invited sessions, oral sessions, abstract sessions, and poster sessions for academic exchanges.

    The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Mr. Yuxin Zhao, who the Assistant principal of Harbin Engineering University, Mr. Zuoming Lin, President of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Hong Qiao, Director of Robot Intelligence Committee of Chinese Association of Automation, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Yu Yao, President of Harbin Engineering University, the organizer of the conference, and Haibin Duan, steering general chair of the conference, director of Technical Committee on Guidance, Navigation and Control of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Professor of Beihang University delivered speeches, respectively. The 2021 Best Paper Award presentation ceremony for “Guidance Navigation and Control”, the founding journal of the Technical Committee on Guidance, Navigation and Control (TCGNC), Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was held at the opening ceremony.

 

 

 

    Guangren Duan (Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Zili Wang (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), You He (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Jonathon Chambers (Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering), and Hongjie Lei (Director of Aviation Industry Corporation of China) made wonderful plenary speeches on the topics of all-drive system control theory, digital reliability system engineering, ocean information intelligent sensing fusion, quantum sensing positioning, and navigation and timing.

  

   GNC Chief Designer Forum was held at the conference, which was chaired by Professor Yingxun Wang (Beihang University). Focusing on the topic of guidance, navigation and control in the practice of aviation, aerospace and navigation engineering, Ning Dai (Xi'an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute, AVIC), Bo Su (China North Vehicle Research Institute), Ning Yao （Beijing Institute of Control Engineering）, Cong Ye (China Ship Scientific Research Center）, and Zhibing Zhang (Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute, AVIC) shared and discussed the solutions to typical engineering problems related to guidance, navigation and control.

 

 

    “LI Ming Best Paper Award”, “FENG Ru Best Paper Award”, and “Best Poster Paper Award” of ICGNC 2022 were evaluated at the conference. These awards are based on a peer-reviewed basis through the on-site defense margin. After the on-site defense, two papers, including Dapeng Zhou (Shenyang Aircraft Design Research Institute) and Yuqi Han (Tsinghua University), won the ICGNC 2022 “LI Ming Best Paper Award”, which was also the highest award of this conference. Six papers, including Shaofeng Chen (University of Science and Technology of China), Qingyuan Meng (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), Wanbing Zhao (Beihang University), Bingxiao Huang (Northwestern Polytechnical University), Xiaoyun Sun (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), and Yuhui Hu (Moscow State Bowman University of Technology), won the ICGNC 2022 “FENG Ru Best Paper Award”; Five papers including Mengting Lin (Sichuan University), Pengju Xiang (Beihang University), Hang Dai (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), Zhaochen Lin (Harbin University of Technology) and Pengyu Liu (Xi'an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute, AVIC) won the ICGNC 2022 “Best Poster Paper Award”.

 

 

   GNC National-level Model Teacher Forum was held at the conference, which was chaired by Professor Tao Zhang (Tsinghua University). Li Shi (Tsinghua University), Wanliang Wang (Zhejiang University of Technology), and Xiaobei Wu (Nanjing University of Science and Technology) shared the innovation patterns, concepts and methodologies in modern GNC education, as well as their valuable experience and understanding in educational practice. GNC Young Scientist Forum was held at the conference, which was chaired by Professor Bin Jiang (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics). Long Cheng (Institute of Automation， Chinese Academy of Sciences), Hairong Dong (Beijing Jiaotong University), Junwei Han (Northwestern Polytechnical University), Xiaolin Ning (Beihang University), Juntong Qi (Shanghai University), Mengyi Wang (Beijing Institute of Electronic System Engineering), Ligang Wu (Harbin Institute of Technology), Hao Yang (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), Junzhi Yu (Peking University), and Yonggang Zhang (Harbin Engineering University) discussed the research focus of frontier fields and key technologies in the field of GNC, which aiming to provide a scientific and technological example demonstration and a high-level GNC academic exchange platform to the young scientists.

   During the conference, the meeting of all members (including youth members) of Technical Committee on Guidance, Navigation and Control (TCGNC), CSAA of 2022 was also held. Zuoming Lin, president of CSAA, awarded the appointment letter to the members of the branch. Professor Haibin Duan of Beihang University was appointed as the chairman of the new session. President Lin gave full affirmation and high evaluation to the work of the branch and put forward new requirements from the construction of the branch, the performance of members' duties and the popularization of science. The committee members also voted to host the 2026 conference in Guilin, Guangxi by the Guilin Institute of Aerospace Technology, and the 2028 conference in Chengdu, Sichuan by the University of Electronic Science and Technology.
